The decor is minimalist retro chic and matches a cuisine long deemed unfashionable or relegated to Sunday lunches. In other words, it's updated yet retains its essential nature and is ready for a comeback. Come here with an empty stomach, because with dishes like Corn-fed Chicken Breasts with Almond Rice, Crispy Pork Belly with Choucroute, and 'Eton Mess' - a pavlova-type dessert - it won't be empty for long. Forget health and faddishness for once and indulge in some excellent British favourites. And as the perfect end to this well-furnished feast, you mustn't forget the whisky. The set menus are great value for money.
