The Ark serves up delicious Tuscan food to a diverse crowd that includes everyone from the Kensington oldies from the south to the Notting Hill trendies from slightly further north. It seems that nowhere in Notting Hill is immune to the Madonna factor and The Ark is no different. She has apparently been and is hooked on chef Ricardo Isolini's simple, wholesome cooking. The menu is packed with seafood and meat dishes. The stuffed Dover sole with mushrooms and Italian string vegetables is very good and the knuckle of veal with lemon and saffron is recommended. The Ark is cosy and generally quiet, with the slight buzz of a casual, upmarket restaurant.
