The Astor hostels were established in 1974 as the first independent youth hostels in London. They are aimed at 18-35 year olds. The Leinster Hostel is the largest of the Astor hostels but has a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. It has a variety of room types, some en suite, and overlooks a pleasant leafy square. It also has a late night bar and club - the Leinster Bar - which is open until 4a each night with live music and competitions - so you can take part. It's conveniently placed for many of London's sights and sounds including Portobello Market, Notting Hill Gate, Hyde Park, and Kensington Palace and Gardens.
