As its name suggests the Backpacker caters for, well... backpackers. Or, to be more precise, travellers from Australia and New Zealand as well as Oceanian residents in Britain. It comes as no surprise, therefore, to find that a lot of drinking, loud music and lively behaviour is the norm for the friendly bunch that frequent the place. The decor is unremarkable but that is not the point of the Backpacker. Its reason for being seems to be hearty, boozy and unpretentious fun.
