Bankside SE1, the first of the Bankside restaurants, gets its name from the local zipcode. Located in London's cultural area, amidst important tourist spots like Shakespeare's Globe, Borough Market, Vinopolis and others, it is largely frequented by tourists as well as locals. The cuisine is contemporary British - Three Grilled Dorset Dived Scallops with Garlic Butter, Rib Eye Steak with Chunky Chips, Roast Tomato and Mushroom and Cumberland Sausage, Mash and Onion Gravy are some of the dishes served here. Kids can order smaller portions, as there is no separate children's menu. For snacks and drinks, head to the brasserie or the bar.
