This bar occupies a part of an ornate old building. It backs the river, with large windows all along one wall allowing panoramic views. Bar M is a great deal busier in the summer than the winter, and is one of the main drinking dens catering for the huge Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race crowds in April. The food is a considerable step up from the usual fare in bars of this sort, such as Goat's Cheese Salad, Rib-Eye Steak and hot sandwiches. A good range of coffees and teas is also available.
