The second largest arts centre in the country showcases most of the performing arts, from fringe to stand-up, celebrity-penned plays to opera - all on the cutting edge of their genre. From Germaine Greer's reworking of the classic sex romp Lysistrata to the experimental new works of British Festival of Visual Theatre, the 1,200 annual productions and events in the performance, exhibition and workshop spaces cover the spectrum of the arts.
