Blue Pumpkin serves European to Balham's fashionista. Bright primary colours and similarly styled artwork combined with plain wooden furniture to create a stylish, modern feel. During the evening the music is more up-tempo, candles are lit and the lighting is dimmed. From time to time theme nights are held, such as organic and South African evenings. The food is delicious with starters including marinated mushrooms with chilli, avocado salad, and duck liver parfait. Main courses include sautéed kidneys in wine, roasted stuffed red peppers, and rib eye steak. And don't forget the scrummy desserts like crème brulee flavoured and the classic strawberries with ice cream. Yum.
