This small theatre in the city specialises in musical theatre - from Chekhov and Shakespeare right through to works by up and coming writers. It also offers 'Lunchbox Theatre' - a 60-minute performance for those who want more than a sandwich to snack on - and lunchtime workshops where you get to have a go yourself! There is a small sandwich bar for lunchtime guests, who also get a cup of tea on the house. Situated on the site of a Victorian swimming pool, the bar contains an ancient swimsuit drier, which is protected under a preservation order. Due to a lack of funding, however, the theatre has unfortunately been forced to shut its doors. Call for further details.
