The Bush has gradually lost its reputation as the most uncomfortable theatre in London. The padded steps have gone in favor of proper tiered seating for 105. However, the refurbishment didn't include the bar, so you still have to get your interval drinks in a roped off section of O'Neills. Still small enough to be intimate, this fringe theatre favors talented new playwrights, making The Bush a magnet for edgy, urban and gritty productions. The result? A younger audience and risky performances, so be sure to check out what you'll be watching if you're easily offended. Tickets cost between GPB 7-12 and are available on number above, although you will have to become a member, but annual membership is only a bank-breaking 50p.
