Café Lazeez is one of those rare trendy restaurants that serve traditional Indian dishes in a modern and fresh atmosphere. A recent refurbishment programme has yielded a stylish interior, and you can also dine al fresco on one of the outside tables. This is one Indian restaurant where you may actually consider stopping by just for a drink at the bar; the cocktails on offer are very good, though a touch pricey. Many of the dishes are lighter, delicately spiced renditions of classics. Do ask the waiters to recommend some of the variations Café Lazeez offers - you won't be disappointed, and be sure to sample the Lazeez barbecue feast (fried prawns, char grilled salmon, chicken tikka and lamb sheik kebabs) if you have company. Wine list is a little on the expensive side, although well chosen.
