An Italian in the City, officially opened by one of the most famous Italians of them all, Luciano Pavarotti, this is perfect for those expense-account lunches, and the contemporary touches of the dining room lend an elegant air to Caravaggio. Situated in a former bank building, it's perfectly located for City folk and they tend to make up most of the clientele at lunchtime. It's also popular with single diners. Dinnertime, on the other hand, is usually quieter, and features a set menu and a three course meal. The Italian cuisine is accomplished, and goes far beyond pasta, featuring such dishes as veal roasted with potatoes and bacon as well as some delicious fish dishes, such as the sea bass with rocket and asparagus. The wine list is imaginatively Italian and the armagnac creme brulée is a delicious ending to a luxurious meal.
