A beacon of cultural light amidst a throng of bars, adult video shops and hordes of tourists, the Curzon Soho offers inordinately extensive listings for an arthouse cinema. The three-screen venue features wonderfully obscure foreign films through to classic movies, independent film and the more offbeat mainstream contributions. Screenings do however alternate depending on the day, so double check before heading out to avoid disappointment. If you do have to wait a while, the whole world of Soho is at your feet. Alternatively, you can linger in the cinema's Curzon Café-Bar and enjoy the tapas and pastries, or the Mezzanine Bar which features regular art exhibitions and serves a wide selection of wines and continental beers to accompany watching the eclectic audiences milling in and out.
