Arguably the capital's best reggae basement, Daddy Kool is about as specialist as specialist gets. Packing in oceans of original seven inches and rarities from the 60s and 70s, featuring main labels such as Studio 1 and Upsetter and running the whole Jamaican gamut through ska, roots, dub, lover's rock, dancehall and ragga up to the most current releases, the racks just can't contain themselves and flow over onto the floor, the counter, and even the walls. In business for over 30 years, revival to recent and choice rarities to club favourites cohabit in this house of reggae, where exchanges, second-hand and mail order is also available.
