It used to be called Coins but it is now Dan's. It's still the effortlessly cool, New York-style joint it has always been. The actual diner is pretty cramped despite high ceilings and, on Sundays, you'll have to wait for a table or a spot at the counter. In good weather, try to grab one of the few tables outside under the huge awning. Breakfast and lunch menus are available during the week but on weekends, there is only brunch all day long. The groggy but still beautiful locals come here for that post-hangover boost. Go to watch them and the world go by.
