Don Pepe has served Maida Vale's Spanish community for many years. The food is traditional and served in big, Galician portions. Live Spanish guitar music is played every night, and this helps get across the authentic feel that Don Pepe's tries to - and does - achieve. Don't expect any shy, retiring tastes either - rather, you will find honest and delicious Spanish dishes any fisherman would be happy with. Eat à la carte, or dine more informally with a selection of tapas. In typical Spanish style, choose from a large selection of seafood (including squid, clams and octopus), spicy chorizo, serrano ham, juicy aubergine or tortilla. Tapas range between £2 and £6.50 and paella is around £13. Veal, hake, sea bass and baby eels are also available on the fish-biased menu.
