Step inside if only to marvel at the futuristic design. Duemila features a metal and glass bar, a glass waterfall, a blazing fire and mini time capsules - each containing 20th century icons like Coke cans - scattered around the spacious restaurant. The Italian cuisine is far from pure or regional, and perhaps the well-executed dishes like Salmon Terrine with Pancetta, Veal and Parma Ham with Mozzarella Cheese and Four Seasons Soup could best be classified more generally as Mediterranean. Nevertheless, it's reliable, homemade stuff, and has won the restaurant a strong following among tourists and locals alike. Service is efficient, and a short but well chosen (mainly Italian) wine list completes a pleasant dining experience.
