Located just off bustling High Street Kensington, The Elephant and Castle is a well-known traditional, genuine Kensington pub. It's not overly large but is full of atmosphere, with trinkets of a bygone age hanging from every available surface. Altogether, this is a relaxed, cosy and quiet locals' pub, which is nevertheless popular with tourists owing to its position in the heart of a trendy, busy neighbourhood. Normal pub fare is served all day, and there is roast dinner on Sundays. Draught beer is £2.30-£2.65 a pint, with four-pint jugs available (a bargain at £8), and spirits are about £1.80 a shot.
