Fiore is a bright new star in London's Italian culinary firmament. This is Italian Nouvelle cuisine with imagination, but without exaggeration. The abundant menu, created by Chef Umberto Vezzoli, has many choice specialties. You may want to try Linguine all'astice con mela verde alla Mediterranea (Linguine pasta with lobster Mediterranean style and Granny Smith apple); Costoletta di vitello alla Milanese al foie-gras, tagliata con patate saltate (Veal cutlet, Milanese style with foie-gras, served with saute potatoes); or Carpaccio di petto d'oca affumicato con pere Williams (Carpaccio of smoked duck breast with pear William). Fiore's kitchen also bakes two different and always tasty breads every day. Your fine dining experience includes Fiore's extensive list of well-known Italian wines. You can expect punctilious, courteous and efficient service, supervised by the charming Mieke. Fiore also has a small bar near the entrance where guests can sip their drinks while waiting for friends or for ordering their lunch or dinner. – Dr XS
