This cosy, close fitting little dining room remains a firm and time-honoured favourite, just like the old Bohemian pub hangout bearing the same name downstairs. The romantic wood-panelled den makes for a charming and intimate refuge from the modernist mayhem of Soho, and although the dining room can suffer from smokiness, it assumes an easy continental congeniality. The traditional French cuisine from chef Margot Henderson has occasional modern European inclinations, but the exquisitely Gallic Pig's Tails and Trotters are not to be missed.
