The Great Fire of London started here in 1666, and the remnants of what was once Monument station are still evident in the subterranean industrial girders which divide the interior of this firey red and yellow-painted club into three broad sections. Fuego is far more of a nightclub than a eaterie. The restaurant serves a selection of Spanish food for lunch and later, but it's as sundown hits that things really start to hot up, and the club starts heaving with young dancers up for a large night. DJs play mainly 80s and 90s hits from Tuesday to Friday; there are occasional theme nights and live bands playing everything from Irish music to pop at other times. If you're not sure you want to boogie, why not take advantage of the happy hour(s) between 5p and 7p - and see how you feel after a few drinks. No jeans or trainers.
