Galileo's is an inexpensive, family chain of Italian restaurants. The decor is mock trattoria but a few branches have been jazzed up a bit to resemble a modern TGI Fridays with banquette seating and tiled flooring. If you enjoy pasta, and your opinion hasn't been corrupted by the legions of critics who condemn such down-marketing of the great culinary classics, then you will be delighted with Galileo's. Enjoy generous servings from the wide and familiar range of anitpasti, insalate, pizze and pasta washed down with a glass of wine. It's not gourmet, but it's hearty and flavourful. Don't miss the special theatre menu for £12.50, including five courses and a glass of champagne. There are branches everywhere, mainly in tourist areas.
