Noodle dishes come at a snip for the penny-conscious at this speciality seafood restaurant, whilst the standard of the food remains admirably high. The Vietnamese influence in the Chinese cuisine adds a delectable twist to its copious selection of delicacies. This is one of Chinatown's best, and the kitchen operates until late so it's a potential post-theatre stop. You really can't come here though without trying the Cantonese seafood steam pot. It doesn't feature on the English-language menu, but it's seriously worth the effort of asking when the mountainous combination of crustaceans, including an entire lobster and a whole juicy crab, fresh king prawns, arctic clams, oysters and squid comes to dwarf your table. Accompanied by sliced raw meats and noodles, the idea is to plunge the pieces you want into the steaming soup and cook them off before feasting is taken to a new dimension. Alternatively, try the rich hot pot of tender slow-cooked Belly Pork with Sweet Yams, or the complimentary tastes and textures of exquisitely Baked Clams in Black Bean Sauce.
