Not to be confused with the collegiate Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race, this annual race sees 250 crews from around the globe of all abilities and in all kinds of boats, from the conventional to the colourful. They are all competing for the prestigious Challenge Trophy of the Company of Watermen & Lightermen in an attempt to become the year's UK Traditional Boat Champions. Crews compete over the gruelling 22-mile course from Richmond to London Docklands.
