Not as famous as the collegiate Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race, this race involves 420 teams, 65 of whom are from outside the UK. The best view is from Chiswick or Hammersmith Bridge as sometimes the whole width of the Thames is filled with boats, and you can hear all the coxes shouting at once. Starting times are usually in the early afternoon. Look out for supporters of the University of London teams, and join in the vocal support!
