Designed at the turn of the 20th century, Her Majesty's stately and imposing stone shell has been home to the eternally popular musical "The Phantom of the Opera" since October 1986. Romantically lavish, this is undoubtedly Andrew Lloyd Webber's finest score. The sizeable theatre seats 1,216 people and has wheelchair access as well as infra-red or loop sound amplification for the hard of hearing. It also provides good food and drinks facilities, as you'd expect from the tourist magnet it has become.
