Past all the kebab joints and cheap luggage shops on Edgware Road is a gleaming modern tower that is the Hilton London Metropole. It's your typical business hotel with shiny floors, leafy plants and conference groups swarming about the lobby area. There are excellent facilities for corporate travellers including Internet access and laptop safes in the rooms. The conferencing facilities include 40 rooms and two conference theatres that can hold up 1,900 people. Banqueting facilities for 1,200 are also available and if you like, the hotel can arrange a belly dancer to entertain after business is done and deal with.
The rooms are fabulously comfortable and are of the high standard you would expect of a Hilton. There's a health club with a pool, shopping arcade, a cafe and two restaurants. Both have views of London. You can admire the Marylebone flyover from Fiamma on the ground floor but you are likely to find the view from the Aspects of London restaurant, one of the highest restaurants in London, more pleasing.
