Like many other unique, glam boutiques, the items here are directly related to the owner's heritage, looks and personality. Spanish ex-model Celia Forner opened La Joya in May 1999 after six years of jewellery making experience, and both her designs - big and bold 22-carat gold set with citrine, peridot or amethyst - and those of hot designers like Jade Jagger are stocked. But aware of the small market for jewellery, Forner decided to shape her store into a showcase for an exclusive range of objects from around the world. You'll find many one-offs and limited editions of hats, hair accessories, leather goods and scarves as well as jewellery.
