Found on a corner in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea, this underground establishment is without doubt one of the best Irish pubs in central London. A spacious, traditionally decorated pub, Kavanagh's boasts friendly staff and a healthy collection of genuine Irish memorabilia. In the evenings it is busy with a young crowd and with fans of the traditional Irish 70s pop and rock bands that play here on Thursdays and Saturdays. There are big-screen TVs showing all major football and rugby matches and an extensive range of pub food is served with a distinctive Irish theme, with main courses for about £6. Kavanagh's serves one of the best pints of Guinness in London, and gives any O'Neills a run for its money.
