The London Contemporary Art Fair, held in January, provides a showcase for Britain's top contemporary art galleries. With 7,000 square metres of space, The Business Design Centre complex boasts bars and restaurants, convenient parking and a Hilton Hotel. As London grows in importance as a place for young cutting edge artists to live and work, there has never been a more exciting time to see this event. The fair now also devotes space to a parallel event, STAR - a selection of the best new talent from recently opened galleries up and down the country. Pieces on sale will range from £100 to £15,000 and featured artists have previously included Tracey Emin, Gilbert & George, and Anish Kapoor.
