A central live venue and nightclub, the Metro is popular with trendy new bands and students. There's an event on almost every day of the year, and live acts can vary from low-key alternative to heavy metal or electro. Due to this, the crowd are usually varied and eccentric. There's limited space, and drinks prices change depending on the day, and whether it's a club night or live band. Worth checking out if you're looking to see a band before they make it big, as they have hosted gigs from the likes of The Darkness and The Libertines in their early days. Admission: £5
