If you thought mime was all clowns trapped inside perspex cubes, this will soon change your perception. Encompassing a wide range of styles from the disturbing psychological probing of Russia's BlackSkyWhite company, through France's physical, frenetic Theatre du mouvement, to the cutting edge abstract puppetry show by the acclaimed American innovators Basil Twist, this annual event has something for everyone. Though most of the events are being held at the South Bank Centre, others are at various venues across London, so phone or check the website before travelling.
