With its sea-blue frontage and large porthole window, on arrival it is instantly clear this is a place for dedicated fish fiends. Inside, the restaurant is bright and airy and continues the nautical theme, while the downstairs bar is dedicated to French rugby paraphernalia. The fish is simply prepared to allow its freshness and flavour to shine through, and if you don't like seafood, the meat and pasta dishes are satisfying, and the desserts are typically French and include apple tart and crepes flambéed with Grand Marnier. For great value, however, visit at lunchtime, when the prices, but not the portions, are slashed.
