"The White House was first opened in 1936 as a smart apartment building and even now the hotel, owned by the Sol Meliᠧroup, has a wing occupied by permanent residents. Hotel guests can enjoy two levels of comfort. You can choose from the one of the standard rooms, which are all tastefully decorated and fully equipped with the usual facilities or you could upgrade to the Royale service. The Royale service is a hotel within a hotel concept where guests can enjoy a better class of rooms and suites with extras such as slippers and toiletries. There is also a separate check in and check out area and lounge for Royale guests. The Meli-hite House completed a recent 20 million refurnishment programme. The hotel looks set to be better than ever including a new swimming pool."
