The Mess Bar has an informal yet stylish feel to it, with a comfortable and bright interior - all big, welcoming sofas and chairs - and a covered beer garden area. Music is provided by the stereo during the week but the weekend DJs (playing various dance tunes) draw the crowds. Customers are mainly youngsters and student types and the atmosphere is really quite lively, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
