Although it's part of the same group that's also given us Dakota and Canyon, Montana is somewhat different, if not in its menu then its native-American style décor. The colour scheme is warm, rather than pared-down and almost minimalist as the former two are. And it's smaller, with a cosy feel, decorated by large native American paintings which, fortunately, manage not to look too thematic. Panfried Chesapeake soft shell crab, picos blue tamale and roast pepper stew are just some of the contemporary American-style dishes you'll find on the menu. They're all very good and, despite the lengthy descriptions, not contrived at all.
