This bar is "on the circuit" for the West End's smart young professionals and it's the jewel in the crown of the Wetherspoon chain, just a short walk from Leicester Square and the surge of Soho. Six pounds buys a pub meal for two (e.g. chilli con carne or lasagne and fries) and the beer is actually less than half the price of many of the other pubs along the Eastern side of the Charing Cross Road. The conscientious doormen always prevent too many people getting in, even on Friday nights, thereby providing one of the few remaining civilised pub evenings to be had in the West End.
