How appropriate that an Irish restaurant/bar should find itself on Cork street. A cosy, tucked away inn that will make you feel you discovered it yourself, Mulligan's is split into a basement restaurant and an upstairs bar that boasts 26 varieties of that Irish favourite, whisky. The food combines the best of traditional and modern Irish cooking, with favourites like whiskey flamed black pudding and chicken liver on baby spinach, and fillet of venison with fried colcannon and vanilla jus. There's a separate menu just for oysters, and, as Balls Brothers are involved, a terrific wine list.
