Murder One is rather a mixed bookshop. While it bills itself as Europe's largest crime and mystery book stockist, it also sells science fiction, fantasy and romance. It may sounds a strange combination, but as it's been going strong for over 10 years it must be getting something right. In keeping with the name, there's an impressive range of second-hand and out-of-print titles for the whodunit connoisseur. You can also be assured that most new crime books will get here quickly - when Thomas Harriss Hannibal came out, Murder One was the first place it was sold in London. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and, if you can't find what you're looking for, they'll have a damn good try for you. There's also a mail order service (with shipping overseas as well as in the UK).
