This establishment will be the first and only museum in London solely dedicated to British fashion and textiles. The museum is being founded by designer Zandra Rhodes, and will focus on rotating exhibitions of work by British designers from the 1950s to the present day. There will also be access to the Zandra Rhodes own collection. Museum fellowship awards will be available to current fashion students, and there will be samples of student work throughout the museum, so expect a comprehensive (and eclectic) coverage of British fashion. The museums decor itself sounds as though it will be worth looking at too, if the plans for a grand pink foyer are anything to go by.
