The National Trust is responsible for preserving English heritage and historical buildings. The shops present a vision of twee, country Britain, and stocks some very pretty gifts as well as history and nature books, beautifully illustrated placemats, and meads. It's also a good place to pick up knick-knacks for around the house and presents for children.
