This towering, glass-fronted, state-of-the-art multiplex is the most modern addition to Cinema Central in Leicester Square. Synonymous with mainstream cinema, this flashy member of the Odeon superchain boasts a massively capacious main screen, split over two floors to hold up to 1,943 people. It's big enough to match the box-office blockbusting giants, and is the prime place to view special effects and Hollywood's latest film feats. There are wheelchair bays in the rear section of the stalls. The adjacent Odeon Mezzanine comprises a handful of small screening rooms, each seating around 50-60 film fans (wheelchair space available). The same films - i.e. mainstream and box-office hits - are relegated to these quainter screens after a few weeks' release. Tickets here are less expensive (£8 adults, £5 concessions and for all before 5p Monday-Friday) than the main cinema (£10/£11 adults, £6.50 concessions and for all before 5p Monday-Friday). The Odeon's baby brother, the Odeon West End, nestles in the south corner of the square.
