This stylish Turkish restaurant is a welcome addition to London's smart ethnic eateries. The neutral, smart, marble-filled dining room leaves it to the bar to recreate the Ottoman Empire, with sumptuously ornate throw pillows and poufs against a rich red backdrop. The concise menu offers overhauled Turkish cuisine with a French twist. Try Coriander Langoustines with pomegranate or sea bass marinated in Turkish tea with shredded cabbage; Lamb with lentils and Turkish bread is probably the most authentic it gets. Make the right choices and it's delicious, and the wine list is a worldwide delight. But the best thing is that even if you're only boozing at the bar, the waiters come round with humus and pitta bread for patrons to nibble on.
