This romantic and rather old-fashioned restaurant, is the place to come for exquisite fish dishes. Inside, a sedate and comfortable oak-panelled room makes you feel instantly at home, as do the exceptionally friendly staff - an usual trait among London waiters. Perhaps this is why you can expect many older clients, who have probably been regulars for a long time, as well as visitors. The menu sticks to the tried and tested formula of fresh, fuss-free ingredients - picked by someone who certainly knows what they're looking for - simply prepared in classic Mediterranean style. Recommended are the marinated tuna tartar and the lobster spaghetti. The fish of the day is also a good bet. A short but imaginative wine list offers many choices at good rates.
