Pires Sandwich Bar is attractively decorated in black and white, and funky music plays in the background as hungry, happy locals tuck into a selection of paninis, ciabattas, baguettes, jacket potatoes and bagels. There is a good range of fillings to choose from, most of which are continental in origin. The staff are, without exception, friendly and service is quick. Sandwiches cost about £3 and there is a breakfast menu available, with meals priced at £3-£5.
