Thanks to a core of faithful regulars, this diminutive club has earned itself a reputation as an unpretentious place for those with wide musical tastes. Different club nights feature fantastic DJs from around the world. The Blueprint Sessions on Friday nights are driven by resident soulsters Attica Blues, putting out big funky tunes. Every Saturday, Balance takes an underground hold with resident DJ Abdul Forsyth and guests such as Jazzanova, Zero 7 and Abraham Flight spinning anything from jazz-funk to afro to Latin and freestyle percussive breaks, with the occasional house interlude. Gilles Peterson also has a monthly residency. A deliciously intimate place with refreshing musical delivery.
