This popular chain of bars is so successful because it convinces normal people that both they and the bar are cool - bouncers will go through the motions of a look over before inevitably letting you in. In fact, the North African-themed basement bar with dark alcoves and hanging artefacts is better described as lively than cool. The mostly Chelsea and Fulham crowd is either beautiful but below legal age. Come here for a late drink and some casual grinding to house and garage, or check out the new jazz night on Wednesdays.
