Purveyor of Royal chocolates to both the Queen and Queen Mother, Prestat was founded by a Frenchman at the beginning of the 1900s - making it London's oldest chocolate maker. Their speciality is the truffle - a sweet treat often bastardised by many, so called, superior chocolate houses. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of these gems (around £5 for a small 100g box) and they also have a mouth-watering range of plain chocolates, seasonal items and, of course, the Queen Mum's favourite mint wafers.
