The Henry Wood Promenade Concerts are more commonly known as "The Proms." These performances of classical music have an informal atmosphere and are packed with music lovers; The Last Night of The Proms is famously emotional. Tickets are by lottery to qualify you must have attended at least six other concerts during the season. Realising that the Last Night is inaccessible to most people, there is now an open-air concert in Hyde Park on the same night, with tickets available to the general public. Performance times vary.
