This cool cinema in the heart of Brixton proves that there's more to this area than clubs, bars and a colourful market. Five screens show quality mainstream films, plus indies, documentaries, world cinema and various art house offerings. There are also occasional premiers and live events. In addition, there's a cool cafe (6pm-11pm Mon-Fri; 11.30am-11pm Sat; opens with the cinema-10.30pm Sun) and a relaxed bar which you can visit regardless of whether you're catching a movie. The films play in 'rep', which means the programme can change from day to day. Check listings or call in advance.
